Making Wires into Bracelets
Today I just wanted to write a quick post about a day that I had learning something new.
I spent the day at a community center that I've gone to since middle school. I would always go there when I was younger. Now I just go there to volunteer. The clubhouse was filed with kids in elementary and middle school. The room was surrounded with arts and crafts and computers for the kids to play games on.
On this particular day I wasn't just sitting and wasting time, instead I helped disassemble a speaker. It was a speaker that used to be a part of one of those dance games, and that game was mine. I decided to join one of the staff members who was working on it. We took apart the speakers, wires, and tactiles.
Using a heating rod we were able to melt the sticky substance, epoxy and take off the wire before the glue formed back again. After taking all the wires off the machine we twisted them together and using the same substance we connected the wires together to make a bracelet.
That day I learned how to use a heating rod to connect wires together and it's kinda fun.
To give you an idea, the way this wire tooks is how ours looked like. I made the background lighter to get a cleared view of the wire.
